Skate elements made of concrete offer optimum material and rolling properties especially for outdoor applications. Skate-Stone is a high-performance concrete according to strength class B 65 (C 55/67). Through the addition of fibers and different special additives as well as through particular processing techniques a perfectly functional product is created. All objects may be provided with a special sealing. With Skate-Stone you will obtain a maximum of resistance to vandalism, outdoor durability and low noise levels. According to experts on noise prevention rolling on Skate-Stone elements does not generate any inherent noises, unlike thin walled hollow elements. The elements developed jointly with skaters stand out for an optimum surface finish. Due to the weight no additional anchoring to the contact area is required. Thus the safety distances stipulated by the DIN standard are maintained all the time.
Copings, run-up plates,
angular edge protectors and barriers
All utilised coping tubes, run-up plates and angular edge protectors are supplied
in stainless steel. The material stainless steel stands out for its outdoor
durability. The ends of the copings are closed. Barriers used as protection
against falling are galvanised but may also be delivered in stainless steel,
if desired.
Maintenance & Warranty
The Skate-Stone material is almost indestructible. Skate-Stone
is insensitive to frost as well as fireresistant. None of the elements have
inaccessible strut matting and dangerous components getting loose (e.g. screws
in the running surface) that will loosen due to oscillations, weathering or
wear. So maintenance and attendance are reduced to a minimum. The objects
were developed according to DIN 33493/2000. They are statically calculated
and tested. We give a 5 year’s warranty on all skate elements. The warranty
also covers the rolling surfaces upon good using practice.
Sponsorship
With their large surfaces as well as with the barriers Skate-Stone elements
offer an excellent platform for flags, banners, boards and posters of sponsors.
You may rent these advertising spaces to sponsors, e.g. local stores, banks
and savings banks, mobile radio network providers, health insurance companies,
etc. In this way part of the purchase costs may be covered by sponsors.
