Ryton on Dunsmore, Coventry

Project Background

The initial start to this project was just to replace the Ariel slide which was red flagged in an RPII report. However the decision was made to replace all of the aged play equipment on the Recreation Ground as a single project.

Ryton on Dunsmore Parish Council ran a nation-wide competitive tender and HAGS scored highly in both the technical and financial responses. HAGS were also the highest placed response in the public consultation (which was not part of the competition, however support the overall award decision).

Understanding vision & Communication

Communication with HAGS during the tendering process to discuss equipment selection was invaluable and ensured that the submission was appropriate and included the style of equipment we were interested in.

Post preferred bidder, HAGS were in regular communication to finalise the designs and transition through the ordering process. On-site meetings with the project delivery team ensured that we were kept informed on the upcoming installation phase and the installation was completed a week earlier than expected. The site was safe, well organised and tidy during the installation and the team were able to provide a detailed view on the weeks activities and answered all queries along the way.

The overall experience from concept to completion plus the quality of equipment has been successful for the Parish and we wish to have many years of safe and enjoyable play using HAGS equipment.
