Shawl Fields Play Area, Leyburn
Inclusive Play Area
With funding from Leyburn Town Council, the existing Shawl Fields play area required a revamp and a fresh new feel. The site was built to be inclusive for all toddlers and junior children to enjoy. Most of the existing equipment was replaced with new, inclusive equipment which complemented the aesthetics and natural beauty of the site.
Increasing Play Value
A design layout intended to align with the landscape, by incorporating the existing mould which allowed accessibility to children and adults of all abilities. Features such as a new tarmac path gently flows around the equipment. This play area offers inclusive, exciting and challenging play space which families can enjoy together.
