Wellwood Park
The Local Community Council raised a large sum of money to go towards upgrading the old play area in Wellwood. Working alongside Fife Council they decided on a brief and were supplied additional funding.
Their project needs were very specific and the park had to be as inclusive as possible to meet the requirements of the children in the area. An accessible junior multi unit is the centrepiece in the park, along with accessible swings, roundabout and colourful surfacing. There are many additional play items in the park that bring delight into the children’s eyes.
An outdoor gym was also included in the brief which is situated in the greenspace away from the park to allow parents some time to themselves too!
